3. How did changing technology
change your life?

Oh, well, T.V. pulled the world together, created a real connection between
people. It used to be if there was an earthquake in Turkey, you didn't hear
about it for five weeks. Now, of course, you know right away and there are
teams and aid rushing off. Medicine, cars. Cars have real windows and heaters.
Washers and dryers. My mother used to have to go down to the basement and there
were three big boilers and you would have to switch between them.
